R. S. Agarwal

Founder & Chairman Emeritus

Mr. R. S. Agarwal is the Founder & Joint Chairman of the Emami Group and one of India's most respected business leaders. Widely regarded as a visionary entrepreneur, he laid the foundation of the Emami Group and, together with his childhood friend and business partner, Mr. R. S. Goenka, transformed it into one of India's leading diversified business conglomerates.

Known for his strategic vision, deep consumer insight, and entrepreneurial acumen, Mr. Agarwal has played a pivotal role in the Group's growth across diverse sectors, including FMCG, edible oil, paper and packaging board, writing instruments, real estate, retail and contemporary art. His ability to identify emerging opportunities and build sustainable businesses has been instrumental in Emami's long-term success.

A Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary, Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), and Master's degree holder in Commerce, Mr. Agarwal successfully led Emami Limited as its Executive Chairman before assuming the role of Chairman Emeritus and Non-Executive Director, where he continues to provide strategic guidance and mentorship.

Beyond business, Mr. Agarwal is actively associated with several charitable trusts and philanthropic initiatives and is a passionate patron of art and culture.

His contributions to industry and society have earned him several prestigious honours. In 2023, he was felicitated with the Most Respected Entrepreneur Award by Hurun India. Earlier, he received the Global Xaverian Award (2014). Along with Mr. R. S. Goenka, he has also been conferred honorary doctorates by KIIT University and Amity University Kolkata, besides receiving Lifetime Achievement Awards from EY Entrepreneur of the Year, The Economic Times Bengal Corporate Awards, and the Indore Management Association.

Mr. R. S. Goenka is the Founder & Joint Chairman of the Emami Group, one of India's leading diversified business conglomerates with an annual turnover of approximately ₹30,000 crore. Along with Mr. R. S. Agarwal, he has played an instrumental role in transforming a modest entrepreneurial venture into a professionally managed business group with leadership across FMCG, edible oils, branded foods, biodiesel, paper and packaging, real estate, retail, writing instruments and contemporary art.

Widely respected for his strategic thinking, financial acumen, and institution-building capabilities, Mr. Goenka has been a key architect of the Group's governance framework and long-term growth. His expertise in taxation, strategic planning, corporate affairs, and finance, combined with his disciplined approach to execution and unwavering emphasis on loyalty and commitment, has contributed significantly to Emami's sustained success.

Mr. Goenka holds a Master's degree in Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). After successfully serving as a Whole-time Director of Emami Limited, he now serves as Non-Executive Chairman, providing strategic counsel and mentoring the leadership team.

Beyond business, Mr. Goenka has made notable contributions to industry and public service. He served as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Kolkata and, in 2007, became the fifth Indian to receive the Cavalier Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland. He is also associated with several charitable trusts and industry bodies, including the Merchant Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI).

His distinguished honours include the Banga Bibhushan (2022), the Most Respected Entrepreneur Award by Hurun India (2023), and, jointly with Mr. R. S. Agarwal, honorary doctorates from KIIT University and Amity University Kolkata, besides receiving Lifetime Achievement Awards from EY Entrepreneur of the Year, The Economic Times Bengal Corporate Awards, and the Indore Management Association.

Harsha Vardhan Agarwal

Vice Chairman & Managing Director

Harsha Vardhan Agarwal is the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Emami Ltd. With over two decades at the organization, including earlier as a Whole-time Director, he has played a pivotal role in driving sustained growth and strengthening the company's strategic direction.

He brings extensive expertise across strategy, marketing and brand development, mergers & acquisitions, human resources, and information technology, and leads the Group's FMCG business along with its digital transformation agenda.

A key member of the Group's Strategic Think-Tank Committee, he is known for his steady leadership, sharp strategic focus, and forward-looking approach, balancing innovation with strong core values.

With a strong strategic orientation, he plays a key role in advancing Emami's inorganic growth strategy, contributing to landmark acquisitions including Zandu Pharmaceutical Works Ltd. (2008), Kesh King (2015), Creme 21 (2019), and Dermicool (2022), and more recently driving strategic investments in new-age start-ups.

Recognized among India's 'Hottest Young Business Leaders' in The Economic Times-Spencer Stuart Forty Under 40 list in 2016, he also served as President of FICCI for 2024-25 and is currently the Honorary Consul of Austria in Kolkata.

Mohan Goenka

Vice Chairman & Wholetime Director

A Management Graduate from Cardiff University, UK, Mohan Goenka is the Vice Chairman & Whole-time Director of Emami Ltd. Earlier as a Wholetime Director of the Company, Mohan has served the business dedicatedly for over two decades, spearheading multiple functions and growing the business successfully thereby gaining immense exposure to steer the organisation forward.

As a key member of the Group's Strategic Think-Tank Committee, Mohan is one of the powers behind the organisation's growth. He spearheads the Group's FMCG business with his expertise in strategy, marketing, finance, investor relations, sales, legal affairs and strong people skills. He is the go-to man in the Company for all investor related businesses aided by his wisdom beyond his years and sharp financial acumen.

Mohan is best known for his disruptive innovation in the launch of Fair and Handsome in 2005 (Rebranded as Smart And Handsome in 2025), which made history as a category creator and became the #1 men's grooming brand in India.

Mohan holds the prestigious position of being the Honorary Consul of Poland in Kolkata and is the former Chairman of ASSOCHAM National Council for FMCG.

Anand Rathi

Independent Director

Anand Rathi, Chartered Accountant (Gold medalist), Founder of the “Anand Rathi Group”, is a leading financial and investment expert in India and South-East Asia. He is the former President of Bombay Stock Exchange (1999 - 2001). Before establishing his own enterprise, Shri Rathi had a long and illustrious career as a core member of “Birla Group”. He was the youngest President of Indian Rayon (now known as Aditya Birla Nuvo). He is on the Board of Anand Rathi Wealth Ltd, Anand Rathi Financial Services Ltd, Anand Rathi Global Finance Ltd, Anand Rathi Housing Finance Ltd and IMC Chamber of Commerce & Industry among others. He has served as an Independent Director of Nu Vista Ltd, Anand Rathi Share & Stock Brokers Ltd.

C. K. Dhanuka

Shri C. K. Dhanuka, aged about 62 years, is a graduate in Commerce and well known Industrialist and promoter of "Dhunseri" group of Companies. He is Chairman & Managing Director of Dhunseri Tea & Industries Ltd and Executive Chairman of Dhunseri Ventures Ltd.

He is an Independent Director of CESC Ltd and also serves as Chairman of Audit Committee of CESC Ltd.

He is the Ex-Chairman of FICCI (Eastern Regional Council) and is also a member of the National Committee of FICCI. Shri C.K Dhanuka is Ex-Chairman of the Indian Tea Association and the Ex-Vice Chairman of the Tea Board. He also serves as Director of Dhunseri Investments Ltd, Dhunseri Infrastructure Ltd. and Naga Dhunseri Group Ltd., IVL Dhunseri Petrochem Industries Private Limited amongst others.

Debabrata Sarkar

Debabrata Sarkar, a Master of Commerce and a holder of distinctive qualifications of FCA and CAIIB, is the former Chairman & Managing Director of Union Bank of India over the period from April 2012 till November 2013. Prior to that, Shri Sarkar was the Executive Director (Wholetime) of Allahabad Bank from 2009 to 2012. Having an illustrious professional career, during his earlier assignment with Bank of Baroda, Shri Sarkar gradually grew from the position of Manager (Credit) to the level of a General Manager.

His long career as a successful banker saw him handling various other significant responsibilities as the Director on the Board of Central Securities Depository Ltd, Mumbai; Director on the Board of Bank of Baroda (Botswana) Ltd.; Director on the Board of Bank of India; Director on the Board of All Bank Finance Ltd.; Chairman of the Banking Advisory Board, Welingker Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai; Non- Executive Chairman of Union KBC Ltd and Star Union Dai-Ichi Life Insurance Co. A proud recipient of industry awards like the Financial Inclusion Award 2013-Person of the Year by Skotch Group and Excellence in Financial Communication Award for the year 2012 by Association of Business Communicators of India, Shri Sarkar holds the distinction of being appointed as the Independent Director on boards of various companies like Vistra- ITCL (India) Ltd., Hinduja Leyland Finance Ltd and Asset Reconstruction Company (India) Ltd. etc.

Anjani Kr. Agrawal

Anjani Kr. Agrawal, is a Chartered Accountant, ( National Rank holder), CIA (IIA USA) and INSEAD Alumni, Former Partner of Ernst & Young (E & Y), having almost 40 years of professional experience, of which 26 years as a partner at EY. With a wide experience and expertise in auditing, risk management and transaction advisory, Shri Agrawal has been a National committee member and speaker at National Industry Associations like CII, FICCI, FIMI, ICC, IIA, IMC etc. He has also worked closely with Central Government, NiTI Aayog on Policy making & strategy and has published more than 25 Thought Leadership reports on various sectors including Metals, Mining, Power etc. He is on the Board of Hindustan Zinc Ltd, Firstsource Solutions Ltd, Aditya Birla Sun Life Trustee Pvt Ltd, Uttam Galva Metallics Ltd and Uttam Value Steels Ltd as an Independent Director.

Anjan Chatterjee

Anjan Chatterjee, is an industrialist in the sector of hospitality and advertising. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from University of Calcutta and topped it up with a Diploma in Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition from the State Council for Engineering and Technical Education, West Bengal. Mr Anjan Chatterjee is the Chairman and Managing Director of Speciality Restaurants Limited., Prior to setting up his own entrepreneurial venture, Shri Chatterjee had worked with Taj Group of Hotels in Mumbai and Anand Bazar Patrika. In 1985, he started his own advertising agency by the name “Situations Advertising” and in 1992, he started his first restaurant named Only Fish in Mumbai and later the specialty Chinese restaurant brand Mainland China. He is also on the Board of Situations Advertising and Marketing Services Pvt. Ltd, Mainland Restaurants Pvt Ltd, Shruthi Hotels Enterprises Pvt Ltd, Quik Service Restaurants Pvt Ltd, Prahari Housing Pvt Ltd, Hotel & Restaurants Association of Eastern India, Supriya Tax Trade Pvt Ltd among others. Avani is a business leader with diverse experience in operating and leadership roles across consumer, retail and hospitality industry. Known for her strategic skills and leadership qualities across consumer, retail and hospitality industries, Avani has scripted her success story in building premium brand experience in the consumer and retail space. As the founding CEO, she successfully set up the JV Company and created the right leadership and cultural environment that resulted in aggressive expansion of over 85 Starbucks stores in India in 3 years In 2014, she ranked 13 on 'The Most Innovative Women in Food and Drink' list in Fortune and Food & Wine. She is on the Board of NIIT Ltd, Mahindra Logistics Ltd, Wellness Forever Medicare Pvt Ltd. She has served as Managing Director of Godrej Nature’s basket.

Rajiv Khaitan

Rajiv Khaitan, based out of Bangalore is a Senior Partner of Khaitan & Co. LLP in the Corporate & Commercial practice group. With over 30 years of experience in general legal practice and a focus on business laws, he heads the corporate and commercial practice group including the defence, hospitality, technology and real estate practices in Bengaluru. He is on the Board of Himatsingka Seide Ltd, Bharat Fritz Werner Ltd, ABC Consolidated Pvt Ltd and EFD Induction Pvt Ltd.

Mamta Binani

Mrs. Mamta Binani is a B.Com and a Law Graduate and is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. She is an Insolvency Professional registered with the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Board of India. She has over 21 years of experience in corporate consultation & advisory. She has held the position of an All India President of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India in the year 2016. She has also been the First Lady Chairperson of the Eastern India of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India in the year 2010. She was conferred with a certificate of doctor of excellence in the field of management at the 3rd Intelligentsia Summit in 2017 and the Bharat Nirman Award in 2010. She is the Vice President of the National Company Law Tribunal Kolkata Bar Association, and the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Corporate Law and Governance, Merchant Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Kolkata and the Co-Chairperson of the Stress Resolution Committee of the Indian Chamber of Commerce.

Sushil K Goenka

Wholetime Director

Sushil K Goenka, Wholetime Director is one of the pillars of Emami Ltd. With rich industry experience, he drives production, factory operation, procurement and packaging among others. His leadership skills have led his team at all units across the country to achieve excellence in quality management, which have been recognised by winning various awards and accolades. Sushil K Goenka, who has also served as the Managing Director of the Company earlier, is known for his benevolent nature and people skills, which make him the right candidate for man management and operations.

Sushil K Goenka is not only an able administrator and businessman, he walks the talk of philanthropy. He plays a key role in the CSR activities of Emami Group and drives the same with zeal. He holds the position of the Secretary of various Trusts viz Aradhana Trust, Vishwa Jagriti Mission Trust (Kolkata) and Vivekananda Hospital and Research Centre, Kolkata.

Dr. Aditya V Agarwal, D.Phil (Honoris Causa)

Dr. Aditya V Agarwal, D.Phil (Honoris Causa) is a second-generation entrepreneur and Non-Executive Director of Emami Ltd. He is a man who always sees life in a positive light and believes in confronting challenges head-on. Being one of the eldest scions of the Emami family, Aditya has witnessed Emami's growth from its humble beginning to it being one of the leading FMCG companies in India today. Possessing an indomitable drive and passion as imbibed from the Founders of the Company, Aditya has the innate ability to grow a company from scratch to a business of profits. At a young age he has made an indelible imprint in running a corporate conglomerate and can be a fountain of inspiration to any aspiring businessman. Being extremely versatile and an expert at PR and man management, Aditya heads the edible oil, food manufacturing and biodiesel, along with newsprint, paper & packaging board manufacturing businesses of the Group.

In recognition of Aditya's contribution towards business and community, Amity University, Kolkata, West Bengal conferred him with the Degree of Honoray Doctorate D.Phil (Honoris Causa) in the year 2024.

Aditya has served as the youngest President of the Merchants Chamber of Commerce and spearheaded Indian Chamber of Commerce in 2016-17 as its President.

Priti A Sureka

An alumnus of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program (AMP), Priti A. Sureka is an exemplary woman corporate leader. With her strategic ingenuity, entrepreneurial initiatives and dynamic leadership, she has successfully established her place among the top women corporate leaders of the country.

As a Wholetime Director of Emami Limited and a key member of the Group’s core advisory team, Priti drives the FMCG business to maintain its leadership position as an Indian MNC.

She also leads the skincare and haircare businesses while overseeing Emami Ltd’s R&D, Innovation, Quality Control and Consumer Research – functions that form the backbone of the organisation. As a visionary leader, Priti leads her team of professionals from the front, continuously raising the bar to ensure sustained high growth rate. She ensures seamless cohesion between various functions of the FMCG business and takes special interest in studying the consumer landscape to charter the strategic growth of the Company in the right direction.

Priti holds membership in various distinguished associations such as FICCI Ladies Organization (FICCI FLO), Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and the Ladies Study Group (LSG) of Indian Chamber of Commerce. She has also been appointed in September 2025 as the first ever woman President of Merchant Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI), Kolkata in the history of it’s 125 years.

Priti has been felicitated with the ‘Corporate Woman Leader’ award in the Consumer Products category by CII at the prestigious platform of CII Corporate Women Leadership Awards 2023. Being passionate and result oriented, Prashant spearheads a team of high performing professionals across geographies delivering sustained growth.

A MBA in Finance & International Marketing from the University of Wales, College of Cardiff, UK, Prashant is a member of various reputed industry chambers such as Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, Confederation of Indian Industry [CII] and Merchant Chamber of Commerce.
